The minister visited the region to evaluate the ongoing works at Caio Port works, new Maria Mambo Café airport, Cabinda Port breakwater and Passenger Terminal.
“I am very satisfied the works are going smoothly and the deadlines are being met,” he said.
Pointing specifically to the Caio Deep Water Port, Augusto Tomás said that the first phase will be completed by the end of 2018.
He was informed that there is a great evolution where all the constraints on the aggregates have been overcome and the dredging work is running significantly.
On the other hand, the completion of works at Maria Mambo Café airport, Augusto Tomás, said they are scheduled for next year.
The transport minister, who was accompanied by the Secretary of State for Prison Affairs of the Ministry of the Interior, Bamoquina Zau, witnessed the conclusion of the first phase of the structure of the Maritime Passenger Terminal, started in November 2016 under China’s credit line.
The ministerial delegation returned on the same day to Luanda.
