Angola: Soyo power plant starts supplying energy

The operation is managed by Sonagás, a subsidiary company of the State-owned Oil Firm “Sonangol”.

The two-turbine plant produces 22 megawatts of energy, using natural gas transformation from the operations of the various national oil blocks and the Angola LNG project, according to the document.

The thermal power station allows the National Energy Distribution Company (ENDE) to meet the  energy needs of Soyo.

This procedure helps to save more and reduce the  emissions of environment waste.

With the launch of the second phase in the coming months, Soyo Combined Cycle Thermal Power Plant will be integrated into the national energy grid to ensure power supply to the country’s capital, Luanda, and other regions of the country.
